Hormones regulate many bodily functions, including growth and
development, metabolism, reproduction, and mood. 

Hormone imbalances can occur when there is too much or too
little of a particular hormone in the body.These imbalances
can cause a wide range of symptoms and health problems.

It’s essential to note that hormone imbalances are often downstream of other systems in the body.

For example, chronic stress or poor diet can affect the adrenal glands, leading to cortisol and other hormone imbalances. Similarly,
digestive problems or liver dysfunction can affect the
metabolism of hormones and lead to imbalances.

Other symptoms of a hormone problem may include weight gain or difficulty losing weight, fatigue, mood swings, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and changes in skin or hair health. These symptoms can be caused by a range of hormonal issues, including thyroid disorders, adrenal dysfunction, or problems with insulin or sex hormones.

One of the most common hormone imbalance symptoms is changes in women woman menstrual cycle.
  • For women, irregular periods, heavy bleeding, or missed periods can be a sign of a hormone issue.

Under constant pressure from life, work, bills, and family, we are getting overloaded with information.
Our body is only capable of receiving and processing a certain amount of information that is coming to and in the body.
Once we are overloaded, the body slows down and does only the most
important job, removing all unnecessary factors influencing the body’s
normal (existence) function.

And that is to live and survive!

Nowadays, we are spending most of our time in ‘survival mode,’ and it is tough for our body to deal with/heal itself.
To provide us with enough energy for the day, digest the food, rebuild gut damage, fight infection, detoxify (body waste, heavy metals), clear the swelling (around the face, neck, stomach, legs, ankles), reduce the blood pressure,sugar and fats in
our arteries, reducing inflammation, to protect us from the attack from outside (parasites, virus, bacteria) and much more.

What is causing my body to reduce life energy?

Underlying root causes that have usually happened a long time ago led you to today’s situation. You have this information, and the body is telling you. But because too many factors surround us during our day, we are
unable to identify them.
The body is always fighting against the root cause, but with so many additional signals, the body is lacking energy for the main job!
We are always prolonging, not giving the body the time and
resources to finish its job so that it can focus on the less
important things later.

In the body, everything is important, but there is hierarchy!

Now, you are stuck in the body response and don’t know how to change it and get out of it.
You know how your life was before, and you want it back!

  • When the water leaks into the house from the pipe, Should we focus on collecting the water and drainage system in the home or close the leaking pipe and then collect excess water in the house?
  • If the fire catches up in the house, caused by the lamp next to the curtains, should we fix the lamp (because the fire started there), or should we focus on extinguishing the fire?
  • There is more than one immune response ?!?
In the body, everything is important, but there is hierarchy!

You thought that there was only one immune response? Is our body only reacting in a one-way direction?
Depending on the symptom or attack inside the body, the immune system will respond with a proper answer.
The body is balancing everything!

Cells are attacking each other? (Autoimmune)
In some cases, the body can and will attack itself after a long fight. Because of too much work dealing with stress in the body, the immune system will be misled and think that our cells are infected or cancerous; they need to be replaced, even if they are healthy.
And that is how we get autoimmune conditions.
They are calling me, but I avoid them. (Symptoms)
By listening to what our body tells us, sometimes screaming to us, we can prevent, improve, stop the progress, or reverse the conditions.
In Functional Health, we are not treating the conditions; we are treating the root cause of the symptoms!
The body sends signals, usually there much longer, before we get any immune condition or get sick.
We see symptoms like something normal because most people have them.
These “normal” symptoms are pain after a meal, acid reflux, food sensitivities, allergies, high blood pressure, insulin resistance, constipation, sleep after food, bloatedness, unveiling loss or weight gain, hair loss, and much more.
By finding and treating why we are stuck in this situation, we will understand what should be done to reverse the symptoms and regain your life/health!
There are situations when we need to ADAPT to the root cause!
Different issues will come, and we need to assess them, including all factors.
Sometimes, the MOST OBVIOUS answer is not the right one!

We have 4 immune responses.

  • Th1 response has only one task to do, and it is to kill things.
  • Fast-acting killer cell response
  • Symptoms are: high fever, dry mouth, swelling, edema, always getting injured, poor muscle gain, anxiety, poor sleep, constipation
  • Responsible for making antibodies to the antigen, stores this data as memory against future attacks by the same antigen
  • Symptoms are seasonal allergies, asthma, acid reflux, Eczema, anaphylaxis, candida, SIBO, puffy skin, stomach, congested nose, histamine reaction, bloated
  • Like Th1, but instead of being in the intracellular, Th17 is attacking extracellular infections
  • Secreted when damage to mucosal linings like the gut, skin, lungs, brain, or vaginal lining.
  • Symptoms are loss of tolerance to smell, jewelry, shampoos, lotions, chemical sensitivities, constant skin outbreaks
  • Most common conditions: Leaky Gut, Psoriasis, MS, Parkinson’s
  • Without Treg cells, the immune system would keep working even after eliminating the infection.
  • Without Treg cells, there is a potential for the body to overreact to not just the infection but to undigested proteins, stressful events, thoughts, supplements, toxins, etc.
  • So why don’t we drive Treg’s response?

Functional medicine emphasizes that symptoms such as allergies, skin problems, hormone imbalances, and bowel issues like constipation and diarrhea may be early warning signs of underlying
imbalances in the body.
These imbalances can contribute to developing autoimmune diseases or other chronic health conditions, making it essential to address them proactively.

It’s essential to understand that symptoms are not random events but meaningful expressions of the body’s attempt to communicate an underlying issue.

Allergies, skin problems, hormone issues, etc., and bowel issues such as constipation and diarrhea are ALWAYS present well before you ever get an autoimmune or disease diagnosis.
